4Better than most similar products, but not a permanent solution
By Peter D Lim
Background:
- Former full-time automotie detailer. Currently a seasonal, part-time detailer.

Pros:
- Product's creamy consistency makes it much easier to use than similar products like Mothers 06108 Back-To-Black - 8 oz
- Water resistance is very good. It does not run like many products.
- Greasy feel is minimal. Many products leave a very greasy feel to the touch. This can be particularly annoying on the door handles.
- Nice scent.

Cons:
- Like all other products like this, it is a temporary solution to faded plastic and rubber. Exposed to the elements (sun, rain, etc.) the applied surface will eventually return to it's faded appearance.
- For very faded surfaces, it can take many coats to attain the desired appearance. A lot of the product can easily be used on a faded bumper (like a Nissan Xterra).
- It can have a blotchy finish. It is fairly easy to tell where the product has been applied more than ot hers. This can be due to the finish of the surface being faded to different levels or uneven application. In my case it was the varying degrees of fade on a large bumper.
- Getting the product on glass and freshly washed/waxed surfaces is obvious and can be a pain to go back and wipe off.

Tips:
- Wear a rubber glove and use a small foam-type wax applicator pad. That way you minimize wasted product. Cotton applicators will absorb quite a bit of the product equaling waste.
- I personally do not use this product on rubber trim (around windows, windshield, etc.). I treat rubber trim like I treat paint and the rubber trim on my vehicles still look almost new - glossy and black - after 5+ years of outdoor parking and daily driving. Give the rubber trim a very thorough cleaning until minimal black residue wipes off. This removes the deteriorating rubber until solid rubber is reached. Follow with a coat of synthetic wax to seal and protect. Apply se cond coat if needed/desired. After being waxed, you can follow with a detailing spray so a smooth, shiny, protected finish.

Conclusion:
- For what it is - a non-permament, periodic application - it is a good product, so 4 stars.
- A decent product, but as stated above, do not expect this to be a long term solution. A better option would be products like Forever Black Bumper & Trim Dye Kit. It requires a bit more time and effort, but the results will last years versus weeks.

5Finally, a product that lasts
By James
This is an excellent protectant for exterior vinyl. It lasts for weeks and doesn't run when it gets wet. Easy to apply and leaves a deep dark sheen.

5NICE PRODUCT!
By jimmyd
I buy this locally at Kragen and let me tell you it works wonders.
I drive a 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo with plastic trim bumpers and everytime I use this it makes the bumper look new. Literally, and it doesn't streak unless its heavy rain outside. Armor all damaged my rear bumper when a hot summer 101 degree day caused discoloring because amor all has alcohol. NEVER USE AMOR ALL. However, I got into a minor wreck and got the rear bumper replaced. I use this after every car wash, and I did several modifications to my jeep (aftermarket headlights, fog lights, smoked out led tail lights and tinted high mount brake light) and everyone always asks me what year my jeep is and how many miles and they're surprised to know that its a 2001 model with 130k miles because the car looks new because of this product. most jeeps with plastic bumpers at this age has horrible faded ugly bumpers which just don't look good. This product protects well from the sun, hadn't had any is sues. I also use it for my interior and people always compliment how dark and supple my dashboard is and they always ask what I use. I tell them I use this and applied it weeks ago. It really does keep a long shine for weeks on end. Meguiars also has a guitar care kit and I use it as well for my guitars. They really live up to the name.
